Baby Update

So all this week I have been having small, suttle contractions that haven't really hurt but I knew they were probably doing something. I was not surprised then when my doctor checked my cervix at my appointment today and I have made some progress!! :) I am dialated to a 1 and about 50% thinned. She told me also that she has decided she will not let me go past my due date this time since Kameron was such a big baby. She said that if I haven't had this baby by the first part of my 40th week (around August 2nd) then she would go ahead and induce me. Soooo, not much longer and we will know our little girlie!!!
Super excited and also super nervous as I know more about what labor and delivery will be like this time around and I am not looking forward to that part. Anxiously awaiting the feeling of relief when I am holding my little girl in my arms and done with the majority of the pain I will have to endure!
Say a prayer for us that all goes well and that Allie's birth goes smoothly! :)

He was not in the happiest of moods on this morning so it was a challange to get him to be happy so we only got 3 good ones but I am happy to have some done before the new baby comes in case I don't have the time after she is here.

Another Haircut

Kameron's hair grows really fast so I have to go in and get his haircut about every 5 weeks. I haven't put any pics of the last few times on here so I thought I would share a few with you today. The top one is when he is all finished and looking so studly, I said give a kiss to the camera so he puckered up! :)

He has gotten really used to the whole routine of the haircut and even said "me hair" when we walked into the beauty shop...

The hair stylist has a little Alvin Chipmunk that keeps Kameron entertained when she needs him to look down.

Off to work with Daddy

Last week when I had my Dr. appointment, Kameron went to work with Daddy for a few hours. When I put him in the truck he was confused, and wondering what is going on...

Then when Daddy got into the drivers seat and closed the doors, he was so excited!!! He had a blast checking circles with Daddy and even playing in the dirt a little! :)

Day in the Yard and the Sun

We have been going to the Aquatic Center 2 or 3 times a week all summer but this week it is getting sooo hot and busy so today we decided to just stay home and play around here in our yard. Kameron liked splashing in his little pool (he doesn't actually like getting into the water) then he enjoyed the hose for quite some time. I wanted to hook the hose to a big beach ball sprinkler that I have but Kameron did not like that at all. He did love splashing water on me and the dog (maybe payback for all the times the dogs have licked him?)

Family Cradle with New Bedding

A few weeks ago I was given a family cradle that Adam's Mom and her siblings, Adam and his siblings, and numerous cousins have all slept in when they were babies (it is just over 50 years old). The only problem was there was no bedding to fit it and it is a different size of cradle than the cradle's today. So, I decided to make a bedding set for it and I just finished it tonight. I think Allie will like it and hopefully we can continue to pass it on to Adam's siblings once they have children!

Kameron was in heaven last night with two sets of his grandparents at the same place celebrating Adam and my birthdays. He enjoyed wearing his helmet, his little yard chair and of course an ice cream cone. We had a really fun and relaxing evening with Adam's grandparents, my parents, and Adam's two brothers and their girlfriends. Complete with good food, yummy desert and fun presents too!!! :)

Baby Shower

Baby Update

Today I had my 33 week check up at the Doctor ( I am going every two weeks for two more times then I will visit every week until she arrives). I am measuring right on track and she told me today that the baby has in fact gone head down and is starting to descend down and get ready for birth. I guess that means the Lillypie age counter thing at the top of my blog is accurate! :) I am not sure if I am walking funny or not but am definately getting kicked in the ribs frequently and having to pee often as her head is now crowding my bladder. As she is filling up the room in my belly, her movements are more noticable to the outside as my whole stomach will move when she shifts or turns from one side to the other which has been exciting for both Adam and Kameron to see! I am pretty sure Kameron still doesn't understand what is going on inside Mom's tummy but he does like hearing the heartbeat every time we are at the Doctor and he is getting more and more frustrated with how there is little to no room on my lap for him...he even tried pushing my stomach in yesterday to make more room for himself! :)

Evening Fun

Lately in the evenings Kameron and I have been going outside while we wait for Adam to come home from work. Kameron always finds his way over to visit "his friends" the cows in the pasture. They are a great audience for him, he talks to them and throws rocks at them, and they all gather around and just stare at him. It is too funny to watch! Kameron walks the length of the cows like he is talking to each one individually...they must think he will feed them or something. So far all they have gotten is some rocks! :)

Weekend of Family Fun!

This last weekend Kameron, Grandma Sara, and I traveled over to Mount Vernon and Sedro Woolley to see all of Grandma Sara's side of the family. Here Kameron is playing with his cousin Mallory.

Enjoying some cartoon time up close too the T.V. When Beth would turn the T.V. on Kameron would run and get his chair and put it in front of the T.V., he started out back further but everytime some would walk or stand in front of him, he would move the chair closer, before we knew it, he was this close...smart little guy!

We had a great weekend visiting family and enjoying Adam's cousin's baby shower and holding her adorable little baby girl, made me really look forward to meeting our little one in just a few short weeks! :)

Yard Sale Gator works!!

Yesterday Adam fixed the gear shift on the gator that I had gotten at a yard sale for free a few weeks ago. Here he is giving Kameron his instructions on how to operate.

He didn't quite understand steering so we locked it in first gear and I walked around next to him to make sure he didn't run into anything.

Driving around! We went down the road and picked up Uncle Seth for a short ride too because he kept tapping the passenger seat and said Momma...I'm sorry Kam but I don't think I'll fit!! :)

Mariners Game with the Jensen Farm

Saturday we traveled to Seattle for the yearly visit to the Mariners game with the Jensen farm employees and some of Adam's family. The Mariners lost but the game was still fun!

1st trip to the Aquatic Center

This year I decided to buy a season pass to the Aquatic Center so I could take Kameron a couple times a week to swim and play for a few hours. We went for the first time yesterday and although it was a bit chilly in the water, Kameron loved the sand play area. He could climb up and about on the jungle gym all by himself then choose between the four different slides to go down.

Memorial Day Weekend

Since it rained so much last weekend, Adam had most of his water off so for the first time ever, we had a day to get away and enjoy some family time! We went to Williams lake where Adam's Dad has a lake house and his boat is docked. The weather was a little chillier then we wanted but we still had a day of fun hanging out, bbqing, and out on the boat doing some fishing. Here Kameron is not sure about wearing his life jacket on the boat.

What he did while we fished...the sound of the boat always puts him to sleep! :)

Another Fun Birthday Party

On Sunday afternoon, Kameron, Grandpa Patty and I drove to Spokane to enjoy my cousin Jennifer's daughter Rylee's 2nd birthday party. It was at a fun Jump and Bounce party place and Kameron had a great time playing on all the toys. Here he is mastering a slide all by himself!

Yard Sale Saturday Success!!

Every Saturday morning, Kameron and I get up early and go yard sale shopping in Moses Lake. I have a route I like to take and usually make a loop based on the ads I see in the paper. For all those moms out there that don't believe in waking up early for good deals, I just wanted to share the great success we had on this last Saturday. I spent a total of 14 dollars and for that 14 dollars, I got this John Deere Gator ( I had to order a part that was broke on the shifter - it cost 15 dollars and will be here in a week --- so maybe that 15 should be added to my total spent?) Anyway, Kameron is loving sitting on his new gator and will love driving it around our yard and gravel when it is fully functioning in a week. We also got numerous toys, shown below in the picture and two grocery sacks full of Gymboree boy clothes. I love Gymboree clothes but they are too expensive for me to buy so I was thrilled to find Kameron basically a complete wardrobe worth of clothes for the next fall and winter all for about 10 bucks...

Kameron enjoying some of our $1 purchases and a new sweatshirt too. I think he is getting used to our Saturday summer routine because he was up extra early, grabbed the blanket he likes to take with him in the car, and waved Bye, Bye to Daddy!! :)

CORN!

Last night was another interesting night at our house...Adam got home at about 8 pm and decided to try and shoot some birds that have been making a nest above our door. Kameron saw he was home and of course wanted to go outside with him...an hour later, too very wet and dirty boys came inside. I have had dinner warm for an hour now and so we stripped Kameron down and got to eating. He had decided that he didn't want to sit in his high chair (note it behind him) but rather wanted to sit in between us in a regular chair. Then when I gave him a plate of food, he was not satisfied, he decided the corn on my plate looked better so he picked it up and began eating away. He ate the whole corn!!!! Adam and I were a little amazed at how good he handled the corn and are excited for the garden to be ready this summer!

I think from now on, Kameron will be sitting in a regular chair, I will have to try to get him to use the booster seat so that he doesn't have to sit on his knees!! And of course he slept great with his warm belly full of corn, he is still asleep now and it is 9:30...:)

New Sandbox

Adam set up Kameron's new sandbox this last Sunday and ever since the weather hasn't been great, finally yesterday it was just a little windy so I took Kameron out to investigate the new box. He thought it was fun of course to scoop the sand out onto the grass...:)

Preschool Field Trip to the Dairy Farm

Kameron had a lot of fun visiting the dairy farm today for our preschool spring field trip. We saw the cows being milked and even tiny baby calves that had just been born last night. One of the babies licked Kameron's nose when he got a little too close...Kameron was not as sure about getting as close after that but overall had a fun time!

Sidney Estrada's 2nd Birthday Party

Today Kameron and I enjoyed an AWESOME birthday party for a sweet little 2 year old girl. Above, Kameron is getting a push from the little birthday girl...seems a little backwards to me, I think Kameron should be doing the pushing!!

A night with the boys...

Seth was over last night and after I got the boys in their pajamas I thought I would try out the double stroller I had recently bought. I am glad I tried it now, it is definately going to have to be my in town stroller for shopping etc. the wheels were too small to handle the country roads, I must look for a jogging one if I plan to walk daily like now. Seth's seat can turn and face forward too but I thought it would be fun to have them face eachother...turned out Kameron thought it was fun to tickle Seth and spent most of the walk doing so...:)

The boys were not happy when the walk was over, both of them really enjoyed it but they and their 60 pounds of weight were hard to push! It was fun to see the things Kameron would do around another toddler. He imitated a lot of the things he has seen us do with him (like the tickling). Seth is moving around a lot more now so the boys spent a lot of time chasing eachother...we were not always sure who was the chaser and who was the one being chased. :) Fun times!

Outside Again

We have been doing so much yard work outside and Kameron has been such a good sport that I thought it was time to have some FUN in the sun and the pool. Here Kameron is playing...

Adam's stepdad, Spike, rides motorcycles and has this beautiful Harley. Yesterday when we were there for Mother's Day visiting, Kameron followed Grandpa Spike around everywhere, they went out into the shop, garage, tool shed and found lots of fun "boy" stuff to play with. Kameron found lots of his favorite thing to play with too --- helmets. Here Kameron sat on the motorcycle for awile...

Being silly...

This is Grandpa's helmet so it was big and heavy...it was hard for Kameron's little neck to hold it up and support all that weight. He loved it but I was afraid it was going to make him fall backwards!! :)

Grandpa also has a large lawn mower/small tractor that was used to give lots of rides around and Kameron loved having his helmet on! Grandpa even found one he could keep and bring home with us...Kameron was sooo excited to have it here last night and took turns wearing it and his other hard hat...Thanks Grandpa Spike and Grandma Sara for such a fun time!!

Planting Flowers 2010

Since the weather was so nice today, Kameron and I went out to plant our barrels with flowers. I put Kameron in charge of the water...of course he was soaked and loving every minute of it!! Here he is watering the barrel that I was going to plant next, he caught on to the order of things pretty quickly and would stay one barrel in front of me so the dirt was always nice and wet! :)

While I trimmed some shrubs that were prickily, I wore these gloves, as soon as I took them off they were on Kameron's hands and he was ready to dig in and help picking up shrub branches I had trimmed off.

Shop BBQ - AKA Tractor Driving Time

On Friday, there was a shop BBQ so Kameron and I went to visit and enjoy some yummy food...Kameron rode around for over an hour on his little battery operated tractor that Papa and Barb have bought for him. He figured out how to push the gas petal down all by himself and was off and driving around the entire parking lot...

Trying to figure out how to steer...he still needs a little work on it!

New Helmet

Kameron and I were shopping in town this last week and at one of the second hand stores he found this John Deere construction like hardhat. Ever since, he has been wearing it all day and every day...

and while playing basketball. I barely got him to take it off for his bath and church service this morning then as soon as we walked in the house it was back on his head!! What a good find! :)

Fun Toy Car

Last month Kameron and I went to CA with my parents and while there we went to a children's museum. Kameron loved this little toy car they had at the museum and wanted to ride in it the whole time we were there. So this last weekend while my Mom and I were shopping at Toys R Us and saw a similar car, we decided we just had to get it for Kam to have to play with at his grandparents house. Last night, Kameron and I went over and helped Grandpa put it together.

He was so excited when he saw the picture on the box and then wanted to help Grandpa get it out of the box!

Trying to help...it was a little hard to put together and took my Dad and I about an hour to do so, Kameron lost interest until we got the roof on and the steering wheel in then he was all about sitting in his new ride. We took it outside to try it out on the sidewalk...

"I know I am cool Mom!!!" It was hard work for Kameron to petal his feet around and move by himself so we put in the floor board and Grandpa and I took turns pushing him...

Kameron loved his new ride! He was so excited to show Grandma when she got home from work...I think from now on everytime my parents babysit, he will be outside riding around in his little coupe car! :)

Kameron has tractors at his other Grandparents house that he can ride around on outside too so I think he is a pretty lucky little boy!!! He will be driving all over the Warden country side while visiting all his Grandparents! :)

Such a Good Helper

Whenever the vacuum comes out, Kameron insists on helping!

He is actually really good at vacuuming the tile and I usually let him push the vacuum around for quite some time then I just have to go behind him and get the corners and spots he misses. I LOVE having such a great helper!!!

We can't keep him in the back yard anymore...

Fun Times

I was out delivering some Mary Kay this evening and we swung by Grandpa and Grandma's house for some yummy dinner and some fun outside time. Above, Kameron is getting a good old fashioned wheelbarrow ride from my Mom. Below, we went for a walk and stopped by the pigs to say hi. Kameron thought they were quite funny and kept screaming in a high pitch everytime they snorted at him...

Another New Soup Recipe

Since I liked the other Campbell's soup recipe we tried the other night, I decided to try another one from a magazine. This one was a super cheap and easy hamburger and mushroom lasagna.

Ingredients:
1 can Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/4 cup milk
1 lb. ground beef
2 cups Prego Spagetti Sauce
9 cooked lasagna noodles (I used the oven ready ones so I didn't have to boil them)
Shredded Mozzarella cheese

1. Heat oven to 400. Stir soup and milk together.
2. Cook beef and stir in spagetti sauce
3. Layer 1/2 beef mixture, 3 noodles, 1 cup soup mixture into a 2 qt. baking dish. Top with 3 more noodles, remaining beef, remaining noodles, and remaining soup mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover baking dish.
4. Bake 30 min. uncover and bake another 10 min. or until cheese is golden brown.

Adam hates lasagna because he doesn't like ricotta cheese, I told him I tried a new casserole recipe, didn't call it lasagna and he liked it a lot since there was no ricotta cheese. The soup layer made it really creamy too!

Papa Smokey's Animals

Yesterday Kameron and I went over to visit Grandpa Smokey and Grandma Patty and we got to see Grandpa's new baby chicks. Kameron loved them!!! He couldn't take his eyes off of them and kept saying Hi, Hi, ....HI!!! :)

Kameron helped my Dad feed these steers during the winter months while my Dad had him while I was at basketball practice...here Kameron and one of the steers were getting reunited.

Then it was back to watching the chicks some more.

He stayed like this watching them for almost a 1/2 hour until finally I talked him into going and seeing the baby pigs but he didn't want anything to do with that, he wanted to go back to the chicks...

New Super Simple Dinner Recipe

Today I was on the exercise bike at the gym, flipping thru a magazine and came across a Campbell's Tomato Soup ad with a super simple skillet recipe. I decided to try it for dinner tonight and it was a success. Adam, Kameron, and I all liked it very much and it was super simple...

1/2 cup Chunky Salsa
1/2 cup water
6 flour tortillas (cut into 1" pieces)
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1. Brown the hamburger until well browned
2. Stir in everything else except cheese, heat to a boil then reduce heat to low. Cook 5 min. Top with the cheese.

It made an 8 1/2 by 11 size dish and was 4 good sized servings...
Kind of a sloppy joe meets mexican enchilada taste...good with chips.

I know it will be a new frequently made "quick" meal at our home!

Easter Surprise

My Grandma Erna was sick on Easter weekend and we have been sick this week so we haven't been able to see her in quite a few weeks, however, we got an Easter basket from her today (my mom delivered) and inside it was this cute bunny with Kameron's name on the front of the clothes...Kameron put the bunny on his bed so I guess he will be snuggling with his new bunny tonight when he is sleeping!! :)

Big Boy Bed and Pink Crib Set

It is a full sized bed that has always been in his room and was previously used as our spare guest bed...he doesn't like sleeping with the covers so they are all pulled back and he is doing well with the railing on the side! :)

Even though it is busy farming season and Adam had to work part of today, we still had a really fun Easter!!! Kameron loved the egg hunt at our church...

Trying to help him get more eggs. Once he got one of them opened and saw a prize inside then he just wanted to enjoy his candy. He was not interested in getting many more eggs but I talked him into gathering a total of four!!!

Children's Museum

On Friday of our trip, we took Kameron to the Children's Museum. They had a Discovery Tots Class that Kameron enjoyed. Here he is listening to a story and enjoying a snack.

The Living Desert Zoo

One day in California, we took Kameron to the zoo. Here he is riding on the zoo animal carousel with Grandpa. He rode it a few times and still wanted to ride longer!!! He is ready for the fair already!!! :)

Here are the two giraffes we saw. Shortly after I took this picture they rang a bell and the one on the left came over to us and we were able to feed him little pellets of hay. Kameron took the food and held it out but then when the giraffe's long tongue reached for it, he got scared and pulled it back. I held it out and the giraffe grabbed it with his LONG tongue right from my fingers. It was really exciting to see such a beautiful animal soooo closely!!!

First Movie Theater Experiences

While in California, we found a movie theater in the paper that was playing movies that have just come out on video for only 75 cents a person. I decided it would be fun to see if Kameron would like to see a movie and only pay this price rather than the 8 dollars in Moses Lake. I figured if he didn't do well, we would get up and walk out and only waste our 75 cents. However, Kameron loved the movies!!! We watched two movies during our stay and he sat and watched both of them from start to finish and was totally excited about the big screen. Of course we couldn't help but buy him the snack pack with pop, popcorn, and candy to help him enjoy the experience!! I think there are many more movie theater trips in our future!!!! :)

We Made It!

We made it to Palm Springs today! It was an early morning getting up at 3:30 am to get ready to head to the airport but we got here all safe and sound in time for lunch. Kameron did great on our two flights...he made friends with those sitting around us and enjoyed snacking on peanuts, water, sleeping, and watching some of a movie. He didn't get sick or bothered with his ears at all...I on the other hand got very nauseous when our flights were descending...not sure why maybe something to do with being pregnant! Glad we are done flying and can enjoy a week of relaxing. My bag did not make it here so I am heading to Wal Mart to get some diapers and groceries and a few essentials and then will hopefully have my bag first thing in the morning. Then we are off to have a nice dinner with my Uncle Wes and Aunt Sandy who live here in Palm Springs during the winter months. Then I think we might have to get to bed early tonight! I will post some pictures of things we see and do later on in the week.

Preschool Easter Egg Hunt

Today at preschool we had an Easter Egg Hunt! Kameron wasn't sure why we wanted the eggs at first but after he opened this first one up and found a treat inside, then he was all over finding more of them!

After the hunt, we went back into the classroom and opened the eggs to see what treats he had!

Enjoying some jelly beans from his eggs. The little basket he is holding was one of his art projects for the day and came in pretty handy! :) This was great practice for next weekend when it is really Easter egg hunt time...I think Kameron will be prepared now to get more then 4 eggs!!!!

I am super bummed out today because the rest of Adam's family left to Arizona for a few days to watch his sister Katie graduate. I wanted to go but since the farm is busy and his Grandpa, and Dad were going, Adam had to stay home to run the farm and the office. I thought about still going, by myself but when we figured out what it would cost for the air tickets, renting a car, and a very expensive hotel that his family was staying at...there was just no way I could justify spending almost a whole month's salary on the three day trip....

SO, what to do today? I am sitting here looking at laundry, dishes, etc. but trying to plan something fun and cheap to do with Kameron...Maybe a picnic lunch and play in the park! Anyone else up for a little park time???????????

Adam called and told me that he is soooo busy that he won't be home from work until 9 or 10 tonight so, any ideas for what we should do after the park?????

Babies Room

The baby's new dresser got delivered today! I am really happy with it, it is not a baby size dresser and yet not too huge for the bedroom and I found it on SALE so what could be better! You can also see from the picture the two colors of pink that I painted the nursery...one darker wall on the left of the picture and the other three are the lighter color.
Now comes the shopping to fill all those drawers!!! ;)

Busy Birthday Weekend!

So this weekend was a very busy weekend for our family! Both Kameron's Uncle Seth (far left) and Cousin Jorgen (middle) had their first birthday parties as well as Adam's Grandma Barb too. On Friday we celebrated with Seth and Barb with an evening at Adam's Dad's house. It was full of pizza, cake, and presents. Then on Saturday after our morning soccer game watching we went over to Adam's brother, Mitch's house. Jorgen's birthday party was outside in their back yard and the weather was perfect!!! It was soo fun to sit outside and catch up with so many people from Warden. We dined on cheese burgers and about 10 different kinds of salads, then of course came the presents, cupcakes and ice cream and then Surprise...Kameron and the baby both even got little goody bags. Kameron loved the fact that the baby can't enjoy hers yet so he enjoyed both of them!! His favorite parts of the party were the party hats and the water bottle with his name on it that came with his goody bag.

As if that wasn't enough...I decided that I wanted to get the nursery painted this weekend while I had my Mom and Adam to help with Kameron while I was painting. I just finished but it was a lot of work!!! I worked on it for almost all day today and about 5 hours yesterday...now for the rest of the house! Adam had to make his own dinner, the laundry and dishes have piled up and the house is a mess BUT the nursery is all painted!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad I am finished because tomorrow a dresser arrives for the room and now the delivery guys can set it up right in the room!!!

Yesterday Jorgen came over to play for a few hours while his Mom got some things ready for his 1st birthday party this weekend. The boys had a lot of fun playing, both took naps, then woke up hungry. They enjoyed dinner together...

Big Day

Yesterday Kameron, Adam, my mom, and Grandma Sara went to the Clinic for my 20 week ultrasound. We saw a healthy, little, moving baby inside my tummy and it was a GIRL!! We were so excited and glad that we will have one of each now. After the Dr. appt. Kameron, my mom, and I traveled to the Tri Cities for lunch (picture above) and for some shopping. Kameron loved his special day with Gma and Mommy and was a really well behaved boy!

This is the nursery bedding I picked and ordered for our new little princess. It will be here in a few days then it is time to paint the nursery! Adam is already worried that having a girl is going to make him broke but I keep telling him that is why he works, right???!!! :) It will be a fun and busy next 4 months getting ready for our little one's arrival and then all the real fun will begin!!!

Big Day at the Dentist

Today Kameron was a "BIG" boy at the dentist! I had a cleaning and he sat on my lap during the process, helping the hygenist when it came time to spray water in my mouth. Then it was his turn, he let the hygenist brush his teeth with the electrical toothbrush and then opened wide to show all of his 16 teeth to her. He got a visit with the dentist and he said all looked great. All his teeth are coming in good and all looked very clean. Afterwards, Kameron got to pick a big boy toothbrush and a prize from the prize box. Here he is a proud boy!

Papa Ken's Lawn Mower

Yesterday morning we stopped at the shop to get our lawn mower and some gas before going home to do yard work. While Adam was filling gas cans, Kameron found G Papa Ken's lawn mower in his storage shed and thought it looked fun! Here he is pretending to drive it...

I had helped him up onto the lawn mower but was afraid of him falling so I took him off after a few minutes and walked away to help Adam, when I turned around I found our very independent little boy doing this...

Saturday Soccer

Today was the first of the soccer Saturday mornings for my good friends' daughter's soccer season. Kameron and his friend Olivia enjoyed watching from their "Tot" size chairs for a few minutes then they were off to play in the open soccer field next to us. Kameron loved the running around in the nice weather!

Olivia is trying to get Kameron to pose for the picture but he is too busy and wants to go after the ball. :)

Visiting the Horses

With all the nice weather we have been having lately, Kameron and I have been enjoying some afternoon walks. Kameron always has to wear his hat on the trip and also likes to take a stop at the neighbors horses to say hi. He waves and talks to them for a few minutes then we are off again for more walking. Kameron walks about 1 mile of our 4 mile square around our house then enjoys a ride in the stroller while Mommy walks the rest.

Playing with Grandma Sara's Barn Toy

Last night Adam, Kam, and I went over to Adam's mom's house for dinner. After dinner, Grandpa Spike surprised Kameron with a new wooden barn toy and a whole set of animals and farm equipment. Kameron was in heaven! He played for a really long time with the animals and the fun new toy at Grandma and Grandpa's house!

Picnic and Movie Night

Tonight Adam was gone playing cards with his friends so Kameron and I had a pizza, chips, and popcorn picnic on the floor and watched a really good Disney movie called "Up". When I was little, my brother and I loved it when my mom would spread out a blanket on the floor and let us eat whatever we wanted for dinner like a picnic. Movies are always my favorite too so it was fun to continue this tradition with Kameron and surprisingly he watched the entire movie! I can't believe his attention span. I look forward to many more picnic Mommy nights in the future years!!!! :)

Outside Afternoon

This afternoon, Kameron and I went outside and played with his basketball hoop.

Kameron loved making baskets, he would make a basket then raise both arms up above his head and scream in delight. Of course he also clapped a lot for himself. I guess he has been to a few too many basketball games...he know this process all to well!

We also spent some time playing with his slide.

This is his new outside toy box full of balls, soccer net, sand toys, etc. I got it last week to help keep everything outsisde organized and in good shape away from our doggies. Kameron likes to go outside and open the box and say "ahhhhh" it's really kind of funny! :)

Hope the nice weather continues so we can continue to play outside!!!!

Bowling Alley Birthday Party

Kameron had his first experience with bowling on Saturday afternoon. Our little friend Rylee Seitz turned 4 and of course we had to go to her fun birthday party!! Kameron had a lot of fun bowling (he couldn't hold the ball himself so I held onto the bottom but he pushed on the top and thought he was doing it all by himself!) He would laugh and squeel everytime the ball was rolling down the lane and would clap for himself and for others whenever the pins were knocked down.

We also enjoyed some yummy pizza and watched the other kids bowl...

Then we discovered a car in the game room and Kameron loved to pretend drive it!!

I couldn't get him off of the car ride...

The big birthday girl opening her presents! Such a cutie!!!! Thanks Lance and Jeni for inviting us to such a fun time! It was a great little afternoon outing!!

Finger Paint Madness

Ok so for today's weekly craft I decided to make finger paint. I had seen a very easy recipe in a cookbook last week while looking up playdough recipes. After we had made the paint I tried to get Kameron to get messy and use his hands to paint. As you can see from the picture, he got soo mad at me. He didn't want the stuff touching him at all, he is trying to get it off with a paper towel!!! What a neat kid I have created...oops! After cleaning the paint off of him, I got him a brush and he then had a little fun...

He created these four papers and then was off to paint other things in the house so the paint had to be put up. Oh well, it was a very interesting time in our house! :)

New Favorites

Here are Kameron's two new favorite things to do - first he likes to ride on his new John Deere toy tractor that he got from his grandparents last week. Thanks Papa and Barb - we are loving the new ride!!! Then he also likes that I have cleared out our old office bedroom (going to become the nursery). Three to four times a day I will find him in there either chasing his ball or running from one end of the room to the other and laughing up a storm...I think he thinks that it is his special "running room" or something!?!

Making Valentines Cards

Trying to continue the Friday craft tradition that I have started with Kameron, this week we made Valentines cards for the Grandparents. I cut out some hearts then let Kameron decorate them with markers, crayons, stickers, doilies, and glitter glue. He both had a lot of fun making them and of course Kameron's favorite part was the stickers!!!

Good Dr. Appointment

Today we had our second Dr. appointment for this pregnancy. It went great. We heard a strong heartbeat from my tummy! My Dr. is really good and she always is making Adam and I laugh and I love how experienced she is with pregnancy and babies. It takes her less than 15 seconds to find exactly where the baby is and where to listen to the heartbeat! Adam asked how many babies she thinks that she has delivered in her lifetime and she said she wasn't sure of the exact running count but it was well over 2,000!!! Since everything looked great and all the blood and urine tests I did last month came back all normal, we don't have to go back for another 4 weeks. During that appointment we will have an ultrasound first then we will have a Dr. visit too. I can't wait for the next appointment so we can see this little baby moving all about!!!!!

Busy Day

Today was an awesome, but very busy Monday. I just got home and wanted to do a quick blog about all that happened throughout the day. First, this morning Kameron found one of my bras in the hamper and decided to wear it around the house like a cape. I took the bottom picture first then when he heard the camera snap, he turned around, smiled and posed for mom (maybe I have taken a few too many pictures if he knows exactly what to do when the camera comes out??) oh well, I had a good laugh and he had a blast with his new cape!

Then it was off to the doctor for us. Kameron had his 18 month check up today. All was great. He weighed in at 28 lbs. 13 oz. and was 33 in. long and all of his measurements were within the 75th to 90th percentile size range. He talked a lot to Dr. Bond and Dr. Bond was surprised at all the things he was saying so that was exciting for me. He got two shots and was quite upset with that but now we are set for 6 months as we don't have to go back until he is 2 years old. Yeah! Then after running around town and grocery shopping it was off to basketball games and church meetings for me. A typical Monday evening with nothing too exciting except that while I was sitting very still for over 3 full hours at my church meeting and totally bored, about asleep, I felt the babies first real movements!!! There was no mistaking it, the baby was a kicking and punching me for a solid 10 minutes or so and it was so much fun to feel that wonderful feeling again!!!! It made this busy Monday just absolutely perfect!!!!
Now it is off to 18 month pictures tomorrow, more basketball, and Valentine's party at preschool on Wednesday....so I better go join Adam and Kameron in bed where they have probably been sleeping for quite some time...
I have a Dr. appointment for the pregnancy on Thursday, so I will post an update about how that goes later on in the week. :)

Nice Day Outside

Yesterday Kameron and I were outside for awhile playing catch. Ever since then, today, he has been standing at the door with his coat and shoes in hand whineing and wanting to go outside. So while it was warm out this afternoon, we spent about an hour out and about. We went for a wagon ride down to the neighbors house to pet their horses and to the other neighbors house to pet their poodle dogs.

Then on the way back, Kameron decided he wanted to push the wagon!

Then we played in the back yard with our doggies for awhile. Kameron liked using his little slide again. He was even able to climb up it all by himself.

And sliding down right about to run into Daisy...see the little grin on Kameron's face!! :) We also rode bikes for awhile, did some swinging in the swing set, and played catch. I think Kameron will be laying down for a little nap now!!

Seth's Baptism

A day at preschool

So Kameron and I enjoy going to preschool every Wednesday morning. I have always wanted to take pictures but then when we get there I get busy playing and forget...I finally got some good ones this last Wednesday. Here are a few from Kameron's favorite time, SNACK! :)

During the first hour the kids get to have "Free Explore" time. So I took pictures of the activities Kameron chose to do on this particular day...they have different crafts each week they can choose from but the toys are usually the same. Above, Kameron was playing the the Grocery Store and pushing the shopping cart around.

Then he decided to do some painting...

Then it was to the craft tables, here he is decorating an envelope for Valentine's Day cards.

Next, we made Moon Rocks (foil balls with black paint and glitter). The glitter was a HUGE hit for Kameron!

Next, we wnt to explore in the bean table. It is filled with little tiny beans and lots of trucks and toys to put the beans in.

After the Free Explore time, then some circle and singing time, it is snack time. Kameron loves to wash up and start eating the snack! Today's was apple sauce, raisins, juice, and fig newtons (there are no fig newtons left on Kameron's plate at the time of this picture because he ate them first!!!)

Hey man, are you going to eat your fig newtons???? He tried to reach for them right after this picture...:)

After snack time, the kids get to go outside and enjoy some play time with balls, scooters, slides, and bicycles. I was so busy chasing Kameron around and playing ball, I forgot to get pictures of him playing...I will try to do those next Wednesday!!!

I will try to post more pictures from school as we continue to enjoy new and exciting days.

Seth comes to play

So, Kameron's uncle Seth is over playing tonight. It is funny watching these two boys interact with each other. Seth thinks that everything Kameron does is hilarious so he is constantly laughing at him. Kameron doesn't like sharing his toys with Seth so he is trying to constantly persuade him to play with something else. For example, above Seth is chewing on a play screwdriver but Kameron wants it so he is trying to persuade him to want the picture frame that he has behind his back...too funny to see how they think!

Great Grandma's House

Early this morning I had to drive my dad to the doctor so after we dropped him off, instead of driving all the way home or waiting in the waiting room to pick him up, we headed to Great Grandma Erna's house. Kameron went right to the closet where she keeps a few toys just for him to play with. He was soo cute playing with her toys in his pajamas. It was fun for my Grandma who is 92 to see Kameron enjoy a quick bath, change of clothes, and he enjoyed some breakfast with her too. Then after we picked up Grandpa, he treated us to a yummy breakfast at Denny's...what a great morning!!! :)

Interesting Dinner

For dinner I made a Garlic Chicken Noodle and Vegetables Casserole. Up until this point, everything I had given to Kameron to try, he has liked. Not this. He tried all the vegetables, then the noodles, then the chicken but it all kept coming right back out of his mouth and I kept getting the same strange facial expression. I could see he was thinking, I usually like these noodles, and vegetables but tonight they taste funny. SO, now I know he is not a big fan of GARLIC! :) Next, I made him some toast and Easy Mac and as you can see from these pictures he is loving it and was very relieved to have something he liked.

I am sooo blessed to have such a good eater and such an unpicky little kid - it only took over 17 months for him to really not like the taste of something and even then he was still willing to try it over and over hoping it would get better. I guess I won't be making another garlic casserole anytime soon! :)

Bath Play Time

On Friday, Kameron's friend Sidney came over to play. She loved the bath until I put Kameron in to join her. Then she wasn't quite sure. Kameron tried to give her some toys to play with so she would stay in with him for awhile. It was funny how he thought she needed a flower but he wanted to keep the ball. ;)

She's not sure...he is playing with all of the toys she liked before he got in. They were really a lot of fun to watch since they are so close in age and are really starting to understand eachother. They played pretty well together, especially when it came to ball. They enjoyed playing lots and lots of catch!!!! Can't wait for her to come back and visit us again.

Cousin Play Date

Last Thursday, Sierra didn't have school so Kameron and I went into Warden for a play date with cousin Cade. Kameron and Cade are just 3 months apart so they are starting to really like playing together! It was cute watching Cade show his toys to Kameron and even show them how they worked. Kameron would watch Cade do something and then he would do it too.

Cade has a really cute little smile! :)

Enjoying a snack of crackers and juice. Cade thought it was funny to feed Kameron (Kameron like it too and was taking all the crackers that Cade would give him!!) :)

What a fun time, Sierra we will have to do this more often!

Kameron's First Field Trip - Fire Station

Kameron loved driving the fire truck...he was trying to get me to close the door here and was waving bye to me!! :)

He was in front of the group watching the whole show! He was a little afraid of the person in the fire clothes at first, but by the end of the trip, he wasn't afraid anymore. I am really glad he has seen a fully clothed firefighter and will hopefully not be scared of one if we ever have any in our home!

Kameron decided that Adam didn't know how to unload the dishwasher so he decided to get up on it and help him. It was too cute, he wanted to hand everything to him! :)

Fun in Seattle

This weekend we had a wonderful time in Seattle. Above is Kameron and I at the Seahawks game. We were dressed warmly just in case but it wasn't really all that cold out. The game was awesome! It was exciting, and Kameron was totally interested in everything going on. He sat in my lap the whole time and enjoyed cheering for the team.

Here we are at the Children's museum. Our friends Aja and Steve Estrada and their little girl Sidney went with us. Here the kids are driving a pretend fire truck.

We ate at the Rainforest Cafe...here we are with a Gorilla.

Kameron loved the slides at the museum.

And of course crawling all over the jungle gym type toys...

Sidney and Kameron also enjoyed some time swimming the indoor pool at the hotel and us parents enjoyed some good shopping time.

15 Month Check Up

Kameron had his 15 month check up on Friday. He had his shots and got a good report from the doctor. He weighed 26 lbs. 14.5 oz., was 32 in. long, and his head was 19 1/4 in. around. He is between the 75th-90th percentile on all his stats so we are really happy about his growth! Some of the current facts about Kameron:

He sleeps thru the night in his own crib and takes 1 to 2 naps during the day.
He has 12 teeth (just got his first set of molars on both sides, top and bottom, plus the front 8.)
He has really light blonde hair that was just cut for the third time and hazel colored eyes - getting closer to daddy's color.
He likes to eat everything that we eat and always wants to feed himself! He loves peanut butter, potatoes, cheese, crackers, grapes, and mandarin oranges.
He is talking constantly - saying hi, bye, mommy, dada, me, mine, no, ya, da (our dog, daisy), hot dog, more, a lot of other words that sound more and more like real words but we aren't always sure of what they are supposed to mean. ALSO he just started saying "I love you" this weekend. It is my new favorite of course!!
He is running everywhere and loving his preschool class.
He will pick out books and bring them to me to read, sit in my lap and turn the pages while I read the book.
He know where his belly button is, his nose is, and his ears, we are going to work on eyes and mouth next...
His favorite thing to do is take everything out of the cupboards, then put everything back in where it was and close the cupboard back up. (my cupboards are pretty messy right now!)
That is all the updates I can think of right now...we just had his pictures taken so I will add those soon.
On to 18 months old we go...

First Molars

On Wednesday we tried to take some family pictures in the leaves. Kameron was very cranky and had a runny nose so I thought he might have been catching my cold and not be feeling well. He took a long nap that day so I also thought he must have been really tired. Well, today while brushing his teeth, I discovered that he has two of his first molars popping through on his right side and his gums are all swollen on his left side. Duh, I should have known...it was so unlike my little guy to be that cranky and ill behaved. I am a little relieved to know now that he was not just being naughty but was in fact not feeling well. Maybe we will try and get a good nap today and a picture of his new BIG teeth! :)

COop Preschool

On Wednesday, Kameron and I enjoyed our first day at the COop Preschool out at Big Bend. It was two and a half hours of fun play, crafts, snack, outside time, circle time, and singing. Kameron was overall pretty well behaved and shared the toys with the other kids a majority of the time. It is good to see other kids his age and see them all interact with eachother. No pictures from the preschool, for now, I didn't want to be the crazy mother snapping pictures of everything that her kid did...:) that would totally have been me if I wasn't trying to make a good impression in front of the other moms there! Above is a picture of Kam after preschool when we were outside playing. I will keep you updated on how he likes his new school experience and what new things we learn!
